Thanks for the heads up I ordered a cup of Goliath horn worms from mulberry and maybe him eating to many of those could have lead to it. I'll try to bump up my variety with some "dryer" meals lol. If that doesn't help in a week or two vet check is next on my list.
This is actually the reason I'm on here right now I'm having the same issue and it's actually starting to worry me. He seems just down in the dumps on top of things and is just with his mouth open more and more it seems. He doesn't have raspy breathing or stringy spit just very.very runny poop...
Yeah I'm just going to give it a week or so too see if he calms down. Hopefully by then he will stop trying to act like the branch slim out and turn brown every time I open the door haha. He's been super good with eating too I'll throw in 12+ crickets and he goes right to town, runs all over the...
Just got in my first chameleon from KammerFlage yesterday and I couldn't be more excited. He's a beautiful 2month old boy from they're "Orange Crush" sire. I was actually surprised after only like an hour or two since I got him, I put in a few crickets just because I had to go to work and wanted...
I end up doing this last night at around 3am because that's how exciting my only Saturday off in a month was haha. But I took each branch and screwed a 3/4inch screw into the end. Then put a magnet on it then hot glued around the whole thing. Sounds pretty tedious but they seriously seem almost...
I roughed up the sides of the magnets with sandpaper to have the glue be able to grip to something. I'm also going to put hot glue completely around the magnet because the glue is fixed on the branch but yes the magnet might be too smooth. If worse comes to worse I'll tie them to the cage and...
Pretty good actually, only really had one branch have the magnet fall off. Tomorrow when I get more energy I'm going to try and hot glue the entire magnet and see if it still has the same amount of pull. If so I'll probably end up doing the rest like that.
Yeah I thought the same thing till I found a pretty decent dealer from Canada on ebay. Certainly wouldn't be doing multi cage setups using them, but for right now it's good. The bulb is a Zoo Med 150w Repti Basking lamp, I bought it instead of a 100w because living in Western NY it gets very...
Alright sorry for the long awaited update, the neodymium magnets took like a week and a half to ship to my house(free ebay shipping:rolleyes:). I got them today and started working on this once I got out of work. I end up just hot gluing the magnets to each end and placing the other magnet on...
I'm currently building my first cage and while out rummaging for sticks I was thinking how am I going to put these in my cage securely. I was thinking neodymium magnets could honestly be something to check out. I end up buying 30 off ebay for relatively cheap. You can order them in high...
I'm so excited to get my kammer haha it's been a long road. But yeah I'm actually returning the light to petsmart now and grabbing a 100w basking probably. Any suggestions on brands and models? Also I should have been more informative on the cage, its 4' by 2' by 2'.
I never thought of hanging a plant like that might give it a shot. And with the croton I just took it out, started growing some mold so I think I'll give it a go in the living room first so it gets really started. Don't want him eating any fallen leaves. :P
Thanks I never really knew the temps actually got that low there. I know they like a dip in temperature but I didn't know by that much. Thanks for the info I appreciate it! :D
Alright so in 13 days I'm going to be getting my first panther chameleon and I'm beyond excited. I've been doing a lot of homework and before buying him I want to make sure that he's not only going to be healthy but happy as well. Now I just kind of want some feedback on my setup so far and if...
So I know it's kind of a weird question but I have some slight mold on some of the soil in my cage and I was reading online that some cinnamon sprinkled on top of the soil after mold removing will prevent it from growing back. Now what I was wondering is if cinnamon is in anyway toxic to panther...
