Yeah cheers guys, this is her first clutch, I am right in giving her water and calcium for frequently now to ease her off the laying process?

    Bathing chameleons

By bathing I meant that I held her over a tub of water and poured it around her and onto her, she went a green colour and was calm.

So the time has come and I have 46 veiled eggs, I know the process of incubation but I just wondered if any of you more experienced breeders had any handy tips or methods? Cheers guys.

    Female...

Hopefully this will help? I saw that no one replied so I did some research. This may not be correct but it is all I could find. Determine the sex of your Jackson's chameleon from the age of three months, which is when the chameleon reaches puberty. Pay attention to the chameleons head...

    Bathing chameleons

I recently posted about my 5-6 possibly 7 month old male veiled been aggressive to me since I seperated him from his mate. She is pregnant so I bathed her to hydrate, is it a good idea to do the same to the male? He is contantly murky brown, sometimes going black and yellow. I spray him...

    Panther sizes?

This particular one looked as if it was yawning constantly. Possibly a breathing problem? It literally looked like it had just hatched, bulging eyes and walking like a drunken huntsman! I wan't going to buy one, but my female veiled is pregnant and I spoke about selling her babies to them. I...

    Panther sizes?

Just popped into pet shop to get my veiled's food and saw some panthers. One of them was literally about an inch big. Is that a standard size for babies or could this one be a bit poorly. Looked abit weak aswell :/ Any thoughts?

    New Cham... Plus my original

Also, from looking at the thumbnail of Oliver, all I can say is "Spider pig, spider pig" haha

    New Cham... Plus my original

A good idea for both in my mind would be to hand feed. Hold a locust or whatever in your fingers and hold it about 3inch from Kyle without the le ;) and about 4-5 inches from oliver and wait. You will see both eyes focus on the food. Their mouth will open slightly with their tounge pertruding...

How long should I leave lights on?

As monopoly said, I used to do 12 on 12 off but with me working in the day and out the house. I turn them off at 9pm then get a family member to turn them on at 9am if not they go on at half 7am. But, anything around the 12on/12off basis is good :)

What do you think about this one...

Hi, I have 2 veiled. I honestly couldn't tell you how old they are but from other photos I would guess at about 1-2 months when I bought them and that was on Jan 13th. They cannot see each other at all (different rooms). Just a bit worried that he is fine when my mum goes in but if I put my...

What do you think about this one...

What do you think about this one... I first bought a male and a female cham purely for the fact that I couldn't afford an Iguana. (Best choice buying chams! :D) As you can imagine I was totally uneducated in the feild of chameleons but I have successfully captive bred Cuban Knight Anoles...

    Mixing Species.

Yeah, just as I thought. I have heared of people keeping different species together but I'm guessing it's not the way forward. Cheers :)

    Mixing Species.

This has always been a question on my mind... Obviously there are different species of Chameleons, is there any harm in letting two different species live together? I AM NOT planning on doing this, it's just something I'm curious about :)

    Sorta a stupid question(s)

When I got my two, I let them adventure along the seatbelts and my lap as I was in my mum's car, letting me concentrate on the chams and not driving. But apart from that they came in a cricket/locust tub with no extra holes and some kitchen roll. Not good, hence why I had them out

    I'm concerned about this...

I tried wrapping a few vines but with the poles been a plastic I wouldn't find anywhere to keep the vines attached (without breaking into the side of the mesh) I think I will stick some materials to it. Thanks :)

    I'm concerned about this...

My female veiled (also pregnant) is situated in a flexarium. The structure is a plastic frame made up of cylindrical poles (Exo Terra's 100 Gal.) and she keeps trying to walk across. Obviously she can't grip but sometimes she can ballence, meaning that once she moves her back legs she fall...

    Plants!

Yeah I had a feeling the Ficus was called a few different things. A lady in a shop turn slightly hostile once I said it was off in my chameleons vivarium. I though I wasn't meant to put them in but I guess she just didn't want her lovely plants to be eaten haha :)

    Plants!

Hi guys, just bought some plants to put into my viv. I have a Schefflera Nora and a Ficus Green Kinky... I Know Shefflera Arboricola is recomended and so is a Ficus Benjamina. Am I still ok to put these plants in? They are the only ones I could find. Cheers in advance :)

    free range sleeping???

I think you probably did the right thing there. I let my female fall asleep on a small plant in my kitchen, the next minute a very adventurous cat was prowling around the room. Anything could have happened if I wasn't there so I think it's always a good idea to disrupt them in the kindest...
