while it is a good deal, my reptibreeze started rusting in the first month, and ive seen quite a few people with similar cases. i ended up returning it for a diy cage and havent had a problem since.
it just looks like that is the color of the skin around his eyes, he might get some coloration around his eyes i would imagine if he is still growing but it looks like that may be it imo.
mine is in this stage right now as well and he is almost 6 months. when he was little he was perfectly fine, now he does the same thing that you snapped a picture of. i have been putting my hand in his cage for a few minutes a day, not picking him up for about a month now and i got him to walk...
heh i have never thought about it like that, but yea dogs do go quite a bit in a short amount of time, but in terms of body mass over time..i havent experienced another animal grow this much. he is like 3-4 times his length in just 4 months! dogs grow maybe double their length in that amount of...
he is younger then 3 months IMO, by a little bit, i would age him at 2 months max but it is hard to tell without something to size him next to. for comparison, my veiled at 5-6 weeks
also i feel worth noting, your chameleon should( more like WILL BE) ok in that cage without blocking any of it...
he is almost 6 months, eating well. i will have to get one after he has had his food for the day, what a plumper!
ghost sleeping. i wish i could get one without the cage but opening it would easily wake him up.
here he is the day we got him.
also man has he developed quite the kung fu...
my 6 month old veiled is eating 20-24 "large" crickets a day, although i think some stores sell different size large chameleons. they are still much smaller then the large black crickets i see outside. also worth noting that i slowly started switching him from small to large at about 4 months...
Order her some phoenix worms and put them in a cup for a quick burst of calcium. They are like 11$ for a 100pc cup. Order the large as they aren't very big, but they are a ton of calcium.

How many are you keeping and in what size cage? A fight for food is prominent in chameleons this age and it can definitely effect the chameleons from what I've seen
I just watched that video yesterday! crazy that she thinks that is him being affectionate. But speaking from experience I will tell you what to do.
Buy your cage, light fixtures, and plants. Ship whatever you need to a friends. Make sure your cage is proper temps and stuff then hide it.
Step 2...
right now my i have about 2 months left on the reccomended lightbulb change for my young veiled, i currently have a 60w basking bulb and a compact 5.0 reptisun 13w. i would like to get a nicer, maybe deeper reaching uvb output as he likes to hang out in the middle of the cage alot more then not...
I do think it is worth stressing that chameleons are quite a bit of work compared to more common household pets IMO. Maintaining the chameleons living space is also part of owning a chameleon, and live feed is definitely not as easy as just plopping down a bowl of pellets. Just do your research...
