ataraxia, we have a mister that sprays throughout the day, but we literally have never seen Mowgli drink off the leaves. We've tried bumping up the length and amount of mistings, but he only drinks from the spray bottle. Are you saying we need to up the mister because he needs to drink more or...
Hi all,
Recently Mowgli has been having some tongue issues. It seems like he's perfectly healthy in every other way except this. He's been passing poo fine and just pooped a huge, healthy looking, hydrated poop today. I'll post pictures of that, too, in case the poo isn't as healthy-looking as...
I forgot how many pictures I've taken of Mowgli since I've been on the forum, so here's a few more. Mowgli decided to bust down his cricket feeder and use it as a fort the other night so I took some pictures. Also got a shot of him showing us some nice yellows and a shot from last night when he...
Hey all! It's been a while since we've posted on here so I thought I'd give an update on Mowgli. I got a new flash for my camera so I tested it out on him last night while he was sleeping. These aren't his brightest colors - he's in his "pj's" in this picture.
Hi all!
Mowgli has been pretty healthy lately. Eating about 5 or so crickets/superworms a day. He drinks a ton from our spray bottle every day and poops regularly. He looks plenty healthy and recently went through a shed just fine. The only thing is he's been doing this head twitch thing. I...
Yeah, it was strange. The shed was totally normal. We were a little worried because it was slower than his usual sheds, but he's about 11 months not so they're bound to slow up. He shed his tail over about a week and then his upper half a day later. That piece is weird too because it looks like...
Hello All,
I decided to put this thread in general discussion because I don't think it is a health problem. Feel free to let me know if it is, though! We just thought it was interesting and wondered if anyone had any insight into why it happened. During Mowgli's last shed he pulled off a big...
Ok. I'll have to just keep a watch on it. I've brought the humidity down to 70 and warmed up the room a bit. I'll keep giving him extra sprays. It's just strange because it's happening so slowly. He usually sheds most of his tail within an hour or so. Is that normal for a shed to take that long...
These 5 photos are the situation. It almost seems like he's just going through a partial shed, but he isn't treating his tail like he normally does during a shed and he's leaving it partially curled more than usual. The humidity is 90 in his cage now and I gave the tail a good warm spray to try...
Hello Everyone,
Today we noticed that the bottom of Mowgli's tail is cracking and almost looks as if it is chapped. The cracking seems pretty severe. It doesn't look like there are any sores from it or anything, but there's some pretty significant fissures. He's sleeping right now and his tail...
So the weather FINALLY warmed up enough for us to take Mowgli outside! We seemed very hesitant... I figured he'd take off considering he's always trying to bust out of his cage, but he was pretty sedentary. So here's some pictures of the experience!
I knew it was time to take him out because...
Yeah, we love the blue stripes on his cheeks and eyes! He's over 9 months now I believe. He seems a bit smaller than some other chams we've seen at that age, which surprised us because be was supposedly the dominant cham of the clutch.
I think Mowgli is a Franklin Jr. baby!

Need to take some more pictures soon. He's getting more colorful all the time.
