Leon is tilting his head and walking in circles. Falls over just standing there.

Leon looks better today. Balance is MUCH better. He drank and ate like normal. He is still holding his head cockeyed and he is currently sleeping with his head sideways again. My wife is taking him to the vet to get a full checkup. Any advice on finding a good vet or things to take with him? We...

Leon is tilting his head and walking in circles. Falls over just standing there.

We did have a larger cricket in our box that we gave him last week. I just assumed he'd be ok with it and chomp it down like all the others. Do you really think this could affect chams as well? Does it digest and eventually go away? I really don't think it is dehydration, as I mist him often...

Leon is tilting his head and walking in circles. Falls over just standing there.

Yesterday, Leon was acting fine and was active like any other day, with no problems. This morning during feeding time, my wife noticed that his head and body were tilted, pretty close to 45 degree angle. We just thought nothing of it and went about our day. Later, we saw him climbing the cage...

    White head veiled

I'm certainly not an expert, but maybe he is about to shed? I hear their colors get light before they shed. Head first, for yours, maybe.

Thanks for the quick response, Trace! I'm just excited to know it's not a bad care thing. I have heard Chams are difficult to care for, and I want to do my best to provide a long and healthy life!

Cham acts healthy, but one question...

One of the pictures is the day we first got Leon. He was super dark, the pet store had 5 in one cage and NO foliage whatsoever, it was terrible conditions for any cham. The second pic is him at my home, much brighter. I just would like to know, why is the skin under his armpits and going...

    Does He Hate His Cage?

I'm sure there are several things I am doing wrong. Just saw that UVB rays won't go through plastic, so, I will have to put that back on top of the cage where it doesn't fit or look very good. And the pet store sold us a tiny cage, like.... the minimum of minimums. So, it's likely that we will...

    New Veiled Chameleon Owner

There are literally thousands of posts here, and I am new to the site, so could anyone direct me where to find good in on caring for a veiled chameleon? The store claims she is 6-8 weeks old. Basically what I want to know is: Temperature, Day and Night Feeding, approximately how many...

    Does He Hate His Cage?

Also Interested My wife got a veiled chameleon for her birthday this year, and it acts very similarly. In fact, it was very brown in the pet store display, but once the employee took it out for us to check it out, it turned green very quick. Now at home, it is still not very colorful in the...
