My panther started to shed two days ago...now his eye has left over shed but it's been closed for two days and has what looks like a bubble, or swollen area underneath. I will upload a pic...he is about 13 months, and has never had any issues. Please, any advice is welcomed!
He probably is just freaked out by the changes, and he needs time to adjust...like maybe even a week time. My Panther took days on his last "decore change" but he came around.
im thinking this is just a 1-2 month old, i'd err on the side of 1 month. I have hatched babies before, and this is just a bit larger than hatchlings!! feed him fruit flies and be careful with him, he is a cutie though! soon enough you can slowly graduate to a couple pinheads (1/4in crickets)
I feel that if he is declining in health, you should supplement with bowl feeding, or however it was that he was eating before. Make sure the food your are trying to hand feed with is moving, like a wriggling worm, otherwise your cham may not notice it and freak out cause your hand is right...
Sometimes when they are dark they are looking for heat. Also, he may feel too exposed with only the one plant in there. He looks like hes far on a branch, or at the top of his plant which is why it is so scarce. He could benefit from more foliage...i know my chameleons LOVE umbrella trees and...
