    Sleeping

My 5 to 6 month old veiled cham stayed up all night while his uvb light was off and now (12pm) he's asleep with the uvb on. I don't know if this is bad or he is just being weird. Help?

    Patience is a virtue...

He is a veiled chameleon. They are the most aggressive chameleons and on top of being a veiled, he's a guy, which makes him more aggressive. Mine is the same way. He puffs up every time I get close to the cage and tries to bite me every time I put my hand in, which is every day because I have to...

    is my setup good??

Glass cages are not the best for chameleons because they need airflow. Also having bark or woodchips as a substrate could impact him if he ingests it. I don't even have a substrate in my cage because it just gets drenched. It is harder to keep humidity up in a screen cage without substrate but...

    Shedding

Do Chameleons eat their shedding? I've had my baby for almost a month and I haven't seen him shed. I know he eats because I clean his poop and I see him eat and I know he gets enough water and the humidity is good. I just haven't seen him shed.

    Humidity

I had to take the substrate out of my chams cage being it was getting soaked (It was the forest floor wood chips) and since I took them out the humidity in the cage has dropped like 10-15%. Any suggestions as to what I should do to raise it up again besides putting substrate in? Thanks! -Shandi

    Handling

I was just wondering how often you all hold your chameleons and how old and what kind they are? Ghost is my first chameleon and I know they stress easily. I am starting out at once a week or once every two weeks but I would like to know what others are doing. Thanks! -Shandi

    Water

So I just got a baby veiled. I've had him for about two weeks and I had to get a substrate tray because his cage was drenching everything. It was four days ago and today The tray was almost overflowing. I have a drip system and I mist when I don't have the dripper on but I think it is the...
