Current Problem - tongue not as strong/accurate at grabbing feeders and im wondering if it could be related to grumpy eating his majesty palm? When he eats it he has a lot of trouble biting off a piece , it takes him 2-3 minutes to rip off a bite and im wondering if that could hurt his tongue...
try wal mart or ace harware is where i bought some of the stuff pictured in the link below, its cheap and works great and you can twist a couple into a braid for wider vines :D

So are you taking out the compact uv light? You REALLY should NOW, and order a linear 5.0 reptisun and your veiled with be okay without uv for a couple days.

what is the temp on his basking branch and how are you measuring it? if it doesn't seem to stress him it should be okay to spray him with warm water, but if it does stress him then just spray the leaves and around where he is at, are you using a dripper or just hand spraying? i also recommend...
flchams.com has a large list of useable plants, the most common being hibiscus, shefflera arboricola, pothos, and ficus. You do want to be careful with the last two if your cham eats alot of plant.
you mentioned that you feed at night, better to feed in the morning or early afternoon so the cham will have plenty time to bask and digest the food.
