To reply to your question, @Twitchet, i did indeed get permission for the dubia colony! I got permission around a week ago, but have yet to set up the colony. That's high up on the to-do list, tho.
I used spareurethane when doing my new cage, it's the stain that they use on boats that is both extremely waterproof and repels all water. Handy dandy. Hope you find something that works!

Well, for one thing your supplementing schedule isn't good. You should use plain calcium WITHOUT D3 every feeding, calcium WITH D3 twice a month, and a multivitamin twice a month. This may help with your situation..... but I would get it checked out by a vet.
