I was using a normal iPhone camera to take the picture, there was no filters or anything, I believe it was something about how much heat was in the enclosure though because after I raised the bulb up higher the temperature dropped to 76 and the next morning he/she started looking more green and...
I have a clutch of Veiled Chameleon eggs that just started hatching recently after going into diapause for a while. After the first one hatched the second one started to hatch, I left him alone and came back later. When I care back he/she was walking around the bin so I put it in a proper...
I have had them for about a month and a half. They are together and they have been very close to each other but have shown very little signs of aggression. but, I will separate them as they grow older.
Hi, I have a baby Mt Meru Jackson's chameleon and he eats small crickets. He misses frequently and i know babies miss more often than adults. but my other one, same type. Gets every one. Is there a health problem?
From the picture i saw, it looks like he is very healthy. I think he may be dehydrated. Now, I'm not the most experienced with chameleons, but i have been researching them every day for a year and a half now and from what ive heard and seen. Dehydration may be leading to your cham not eating...
The air around them could be too moist. Eggs are very picky and they have to be just right to be good eggs. I agree with @kinyonga to put them in a separate container with a little bit drier air. The egg may be a little less tolerant than the other eggs.
I dont think substrate is necessary unless it is just like a fake grass blanket that water soaks through, with rocks under it with a pot under the rocks. This would make the enclosure more humid, having the wet rocks. If there is substrate in the cage then that would just give a place for...
My female veiled definitely likes to be alone but if she is stressed, she knows that ii will help her out. My two baby jackson's arent really old enough to tell. :ROFLMAO:
I dont know what the vets will do to your loving and im sure, caring chameleon. But, i hope the best for you and your chameleon, i am very sorry. Just something to cheer you up, I think you may have one of the oldest veiled chameleon pets in a very wide range i am sure. I hope for the best for...
My female (obviously) veiled chameleon has the same coloration she did when she laid her first clutch. Yellow splotches on the flanks and blue lines vertically and horizontally on the spine. These are gravid colors for a veiled chameleon correct? It has been about 4 months (3 months and 25 days...
I'm really sorry, try and feed him and hydrate him as much as possible while you can to make him last. I'm very sorry about what may happen. I hope it turns out the best for your cham.
I hope you are going to work on it further. But i couldn't really tell if that was clear or solid in between the two cages, because if it is clear, they will be able to see each other. You dont want two males to be able to see each other especially of a different species of a chameleon. two...
Try and make it more think and branchy in there, They love to be able to climb up high. I hope "branchy" is a word. Anyway, make it more thick in the lower parts of the enclosure with real or fake plants. Make sure you clean them before you use them, and make sure there is a spot in the cage...
