Today is sweet little watson’s second hatch day! He’s more beautiful than i could have ever imagined and he’s been nothing but a joy in my life. He’s the sweetest little man i could ever ask for and he’s helped me through some tough times these past two years, and every day im greatful for this...
While i cannot review your entire husbandry setup currently, I can immediately tell you that that's mouth rot. A vet is needed immediately, and from what i can see, there are a few detrimental parts of your setup. Your UVB light is inadequate and you'll need a t5ho uvb bulb. Your night light is...
Kinda panicking right now because im scared this might be a prolapse. Found this stickin out his cloaca when i came home from worm ~five minutes ago. Looks like poop to me but im scared it could be worse. Any insight? Thanks!
Personally, I hate the crossbreeding of locales. There's so much more genetic difference aside from color of the chameleon, such as rostral projection, casque size, and even overall size of the chameleon. If genetics become muddled for the sake of "designer" chameleons, we lose what made each...
he's been eating anywhere from 1-10 crickets a day depending on his mood, and around three portions of chopped superworms as well. I got him a bubbler and the first thing he did was investigate it so hopefully he'll start drinking from it.
Thank you! I havent tried the bubbler yet, i’ll pick one up tomorrow! As for his arm i’ve been trying to find a vet to see him and theyve all said the best they can do is guess. At most i know its a humeral fracture and a splint would make it worse :/
I’ve got a juvenile male Mountain Horned Dragon, Acanthosaura Capra, who came in with a broken arm and eats a little odd. Ive been attempting to set up a vet appointment for the little guy for his arm, but his eating and drinking seem off. He refuses any cricket or chopped up worm until i dangle...
As someone who started keeping at 14, I figured I'd chip in my two cents. Chameleons are expensive and an incredible time requirement. Flower and Pete, my first and second chameleons, are the perfect example of why you should never get a chameleon young. Flower came with an diagnoseable eye...
If you buy from them, you are in fact wasting your mom's money. Parasite-ridden, wild caught animals in unacceptable care for an indefinite time, with the only pro being a low price. If anything, the low price is a warning. The animal will die, and I'd be willing to bet money. Reputable breeders...
Jann, i’m so, so sorry for your loss. Hank was an incredible little chameleon and he’ll forever be in your heart. He was unmatchably beautiful and such an amazing animal. His memory will be eternal, through the memories shared with him, and his offspring as well. Sending my biggest hugs and...
