I don't have his new cage yet set up cuz i am waiting the replacement but it will be 24 x 24 x 48 but once i do ill be taking a picture. I put the repti calcium on the dubia roaches and use cricket quencher to feed the crickets. My roaches right now are munching on apple chunks. Im gonna move...
So I have been making the changes that have been suggested to make Louie a happier and healthier chameleon and it seems to be working. The spot on his side hasn't grown and doesn't bother him. He's moving a lot more since I've been feeding him the dubia roaches and crickets and I've been...
Thank you to everyone who has been such a help with making suggestions to help me be a better chameleon mom. Since i have been implementing as many changes as i can right now im noticing rhat Louie is moving around his cage so much more during the day and not just hanging out in the back. I am...
I have already been making some changes like getting rid of the wood subtrate and replaced it with the green carpeting and am misting his cage a couple times a day and im seeing him move around a lot more and hanging out all over the cage.
I have downloaded the food sheet and will be working on trying to feed him a larger variety of food. I do have a question on putting fruits and veggies in his cage. How does that work - do i mush it up or do i hang it and he nibbles off it?
Your Chameleon - Louie- veiled chameleon. He's about 2 yrs old. Have had him for about 2 months currently.

Feeding - louie eats predominantly superworms (6-8) about every other day. I put...
Yes. Just supers. I had been doing some reading when i got him and it said feed him supers and as treats you can give him other types of worms but not too often cuz they arent good for him on a reg basis. But obviously Im learning a lot thru the forum and am making changes accordingly as i am...
There are no real plants yet in his cage. Its all fake except for the branch i broke off my oak tree so that i could transport him in a box like was recommended. As far as the supplies all of his entire cage setup is what he came with minus a few extras i have purchased. I have the bark subtrate...
I will also be trying to find some proper real plants to replace the fake ones in his cage to help. I appreciate the care sheet for sure. I do try hard to keep my pets healthy and will take any help from those who are more experienced with them.
I just saw the care sheet. I have been feeding him superworms and dusting them about 1x a wk or every 2 wks and he doesnt seem to like them with the powder. I will dust him with some tomorrow though to be on the safe side since the dust is at school. Temp wise his cage seems to be pretty good...
The vet he was taken too before I purchased him said the growth wasn't something to worry about unless it hurt him or gets bigger and its been this size and way since before I got him.
So i bought this fogger to put moisture in Louie's cage. I have it set to go off every 2 hrs for 30 min and it seems to put a good bit of moisture in Louie's cage and allowing for water condensation to build up on the leaves. Should I set this off to run more frequently? I don't want it to run...
