    Choking???

Yes I do. It’s not a chain pet store, it’s a small family owned pet store and we don’t sell chameleons. All of our animals are rescues and I would never trust a pet store care sheet. I’ve gotten my husbandry reviewed on here already because this chameleon fell into my lap, I rescue animals and...

    Choking???

I feed her large crickets from the store I work at. They were not bigger than the space between her eyes. She’s an adult female veiled. I’ve read many times on here that they can eat their prey the wrong way and it makes them choke. Are these signs of choking? What can I do?

    Choking???

Hi! My Cham was eating crickets and she ate one and seemed to kinda choke on it (she closed her eyes and shook her head for a second) and then she seemed fine and kept eating. But now she keeps stretching her neck up and opening her mouth and she is VERY thirsty. Normal?

    Play Sand?

Hey guys! So my rescued female just laid eggs for the first time since I’ve had her, second time in her life that I know of. She did fine, except that she dug a tunnel in one of her plants and ultimately it caved in on her. I was watching her really closely and was able to get her out without...

And also, does she need to eat more while she is gravid? Also varying opinions on this.

    Cham fell

Okay thanks everybody. It’s not a pencil cactus, it’s the hydrangea which I had to cut the top off of to fit in the enclosure. It is chameleon safe. I have done quite a bit of research and as I’ve only had her a couple of weeks AND she’s a rescue, I have not had a lot of time to prepare. And I...

    Cham fell

The problem is that I don’t know if she’s healthy because I haven’t had her very long. What’s wrong with the lights? The previous owner said she laid her eggs in the pothos vine pot so I thought she would probably do that again.

    Cham fell

Your Chameleon - Veiled chameleon, over a year old, I’ve had her for about two weeks. Handling - I handle her as often as she wants me to. Sometimes once a day, sometimes once every couple. She lets me know when she doesn’t want to be handled. Feeding - She eats about 6 large crickets every...

    Cham fell

Also, how does everybody deal with hydration? She has a dripper and I mist her once or twice a day but tonight she seemed excessively thirsty. Should I be misting three times a day?

    Cham fell

Hey everybody! I am new to Cham ownership and to the forum. I have a female veiled chameleon that I rescued from somebody that was trying to donate her to the small pet store I work at. So far she’s been great. She is actually very friendly and comes to the front of her enclosure every day when...
