They can probly take care of cats and dogs But chams are just to high maintenance and require specific knowledge tht 90 percent of their employees do not have at all. They way she was talking she was making it sound like this was a easy pet
I'm sorry but I had to share this on the forum.. This was just to absurd, and ik Im new to Cham world but I can definitely tell you he did not get an RI in the 4 days I had him and he definitely did not start to develop JVB deficiency in my care in that time either
I'm driving home and still dumbfounded how she said he wasn't sick. And she said people don't usually have problems with their chams wich I feel is absolute bs
I will never be supporting a pet store again, not even for crickets. I will gladly take the 20 min longer drive to have people who care about animals and not just a paycheck
The guide is TERRIBLE and I only followed it for the first few hours before discovering this forum.. But I'm already feeling bad enough but to then have someone with even less knowledge then me tell me it's my fualt why he jis in the shape he is in... Like they have no right to care for chams if...
Lady had ABSOLUTELY zero knowledge of them and actually blamed me for it, not suggested just blaintently said it was my fault so naturally after receiving my money I had to inform her how ignorant she is.

So we brought him back and the people at petsmart tried to tell us he is not sick and it was our fault he is in this shape... The lady said I was not following the care guide good enough tht petsmart gives you upon adoption but yet that care guide is 100 percent wrong
of course now that i have to wash everything ill be doing this ALL OVER again... but i kinda enjoyed it knowing it was being used by a little friend of mine
and once i joined the forum i did everything i could for him while putting his cage back together, i even took temps before permanently placing zip ties so each one of his little spots was at a different temp and everything. I had a hot side of his cage where he basked and made it more lush in...
thanks for the help all you guys I REALLY appreciate it and even tho it didnt work out im 100% going to be getting another one asap. Now tht i have real experience with what they need and such i think getting a older one will be alot easier to raise for me being new. And i know, idk why they are...
money isnt usually a problem for me but it just took a chunck out of what i had just for startup fees like cage fogger etc. In a week or so i could be able to afford a vet visit to er if needed but the almost 600 i paid just for the start up was not expected
okay well after dinner i guess im making the dreaded trip back... Do you have any recommendations on what breeders i should order from for my new one? i absolutley hate doing this and especially talking like he already isnt mine is breaking my heart... But since i spent so much on his enlcosure...
they are gutloaded from me with organic sweet potatoes, baby spinach, baby carrots and all in one gutload from Petsmart just for water source. They seem to leave the all on one gut load alone but the veggies and such are gone everyday
there is almost no white poo at all pretty much but he still hasnt gotten any better with they eyes opening, if anyhting it seems to have gotten worse because before he would hear me enter room and open them up. Now they are closed until i open cage
