Thank you so very much for sharing. I went out and got it all this evening so I can feed him tomorrow. Praying those meds come in for him ASAP from his vet. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@kinyonga yes it is. The doctor was originally worried about his size and giving the medicine. I called last night in tears and they are having Allopurinol compounded to a dose that’s right for his size and hopefully some pain meds too. He is in distress and having a really hard time right now...
I need some help on which supplements to use for my veiled Chameleon. I was advised to use a phosphorus free calcium without D3 and then two feedings a month, use phosphorus free with D3 and Reptivite. I was also advised that a preformed vitamin A can be helpful as well. I’m curious what the...
@kinyonga i will call the vet tomorrow and have them email me copies of the X-ray.
The high calcium cricket diet says there’s D3 in it the cricket quencher doesn’t say there’s D3 and the Reptivite- I don’t see D3 specifically, it just says d-calcium pantothenate
He did a full X-ray an he’s the only vet in that office that treats exotics.
I was dusting the crickets every day with the calcium and then once every other week with the calcium with D3 and then also Reptivite. I was feeding the crickets fluckers high calcium flake food and a calcium...
Breeder said to dust every other day and to stop using the fluckers cricket quencher and high calcium cricket food and focus more on gutloading them with veggies. Vet said to pick one thing I’m currently doing with calcium and stop doing that to cut down on it. He said it will take time but he...
@kinyonga I took him to the vet last week and they did an X-ray and gave him fluids. The doc confirmed too much calcium. I’ve been following recommendations he and the breeder gave me. He seems to be having a little trouble on his branches- I assume from the swelling in his joints. I haven’t...
@Bazelthechameleon and @jannb just sent a bunch of photos to the breeder and what I’ve been hit feeding and supplementing with and he saw swelling in other joints. Apparently I’ve been giving him too much calcium and he believes it’s Psuedo-Gout. He advised me to stop giving the crickets cricket...
Any idea what this could be? He drinks water, I just saw him standing on his two back legs to get a cricket.. I’m so confused.. his left knee seems bigger than his right.
