UVB is Arcadia T5 7%. Here is the cage and some pictures of him. No red lighting. Just the UVB, the heat lamp and LED plant lights.

    Tis a puzzlement

Hi there cham fam. Well, I am officially stumped. Paulie has been closing his left eye, only his left eye, in the mid to late afternoons. In the morning, it's wide open. In the evenings while he cruises to a sleeping spot, it's wide open. No issues targeting food. Appetite and feces is normal...

    Adult Chameleons for Adoption

Andrew, I'm so very sorry to hear about your brother. It takes a special person to do what you're doing. I hope your beautiful boys find loving homes. I wish I could help out. Take care. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Does anybody know what my Cham is doing

I'm wondering the same. When chameleons clean their eyes, they puff the turret out in different directions and it's a little alarming the first time you see it. Does this come and go? His eyes aren't always swollen?

    Millipede infestation

Good question!!! I'm open to soil suggestions!

    Millipede infestation

I think so... I'm now deep diving soil research because i don't trust the one I have. If it's in one, it's in all of them because I reported them all at the same time with the same soil. 😭

    Millipede infestation

Well tomorrow will be an obsessive plant cleaning day, I guess. 😔

    Millipede infestation

I'm just finding I have the same situation! My soil in the pots in my enclosure is organic potting soil with no nitrates or fertilizers. My cham is luckily not eating them because they are in the plants at the bottom of his cage, but I'm wondering how much I should be freaking out. Ugh. So gross!!!!

    Meet Chemilio

That's some healthy looking urate! He's adorable! Welcome to the cham fam! The thing I have found through almost a year of ups and downs is: you're going to worry about them. They are stressful and wonderful little creatures. And as long as you're wondering "Am I doing this right?", and seeking...

    Ants in my bug shipment

In your car!?!? That is nightmare fuel right there. On my way to get Terro drops. I'm totally stunned. Everything I got yesterday is in separate sealed bags at this point. I couldn't believe they ate the silkworkms alive. 🤯

    Ants in my bug shipment

Hi there chamily, I got a shipment of bugs yesterday; dubia roaches, silk worms, horned worms, BSFL (the usual). I bought them from a reputable source I have ordered from many times. (I don't want to name them here yet because I have reached out to their customer service and am waiting for an...

    Gout?

Thanks! I sure hope so. I hope I'm just being paranoid but at this point I would rather be safe than sorry. I hope your mystery gets solved. Worrying about them is the worst!

    Gout?

Glad to hear you're seeing some improvement! I am also fogging like crazy at night because I'm struggling to keep the humidity of his entire enclosure up. He seems to like it though because he tucks in for bed right under the fog. My guy is on his way to the vet as we speak. First time I haven't...

    Gout?

Going through something similar. My guy had an RI that we did a course of antibiotics for and 12 days later, still gaping and taking big, deep breaths. Some days he has stringy saliva. Other days he doesnt. No nose in the air breathing. I am at a loss. Round 2 of vet visits is today. Up until...

    Not sure - eyes

So my vet gave us TINY amounts of Ceftazimide to inject daily for 10 days. He said this is only something he does with chams, as other reptiles would get a larger dose every 2-3 days. He admitted it's not a typical way to dose this medication but he's had a lot of success with it in chams. It...
