I really like the driftwood too actually, had to give her a way up and down! It is a schefflera alpina (mountain/hearty version of schefflera arbicola/umbrella tree plant). I'm not convinced on it and may end up replacing it for her, but she does seem to like it lol. It is the one she ate the...
Wow so update on that, quicker than I thought! I just looked and the shooting gallery is completely empty. She had 6 crickets in there. As I'm looking, I notice I can't find her and after a minute I see her slinking down the schefflera trunk towards a single escaped cricket and I watched her...
Updated enclosure: she seems to like it! Lay bin to be added in the next few days to the bottom rear. The 4 pothos plants are in smaller pots which are placed into the mounted/suspended pots (for easy removal). Very excited for these 4 to take over the enclosure! Basking spot measured at her...
T5 HO installed and she loves it! Pretty big difference in her color from yesterday to today (more of a normal green today), I think she's happy! Mistking is also arriving in the next hour or so. Exciting day :) once we upgrade her canopy/branches this weekend and install the mistking, I will...
Roger that thank you! We've been reading quite a bit on laying bin setup, etc. just in case (I had a feeling those weren't tarsal spurs, as other pics seem much more pronounced). Will get that set up this weekend as well.
Thank you so much @Beman!!! Pictures attached of supplements - the Reptivite is the one we've only used twice (once on day one, once on day 15 of him in our care), ExoTerra every day aside from those 2 days.
One question; If I'm able to ensure the basking bulb in the deepdome is 8" above him...
I just saw him come down from his basking spot and shoot his tongue into the water glass!! Side eying me the whole time, but not so shy and looks like he found his water buffet lol
We have been in the same boat the whole time. Some days I see spurs, some days it's not clear. And same in most photos I've tried to use to confirm, the spurs are much more prominent on Chams this age. Leads me to believe C-Rex may be a girl with chubby toes
Hello! We have the same concerns actually. I noticed the 'double elbows' and have been reading quite a bit on MBD. He/she has only been in our care for about 2 to 3 weeks, during which time we've been doing daily calcium dusting and have done 2 multivitamin dustings (reptivite + D3). He is quite...
We named him Cornelius Rex! I know you've heard of T-Rex.... meet C-Rex! We fell in love with this guy immediately. Trying to give him a better home than the pet store we found him at :)
Hi all, I'm new here but have been lurking for about a month. This community seems really great! My family has a new Veiled friend, and I was hoping to confirm gender and possibly a rough age. I'm almost certain he(?) has tarsal spurs and a somewhat thicker tail base, but I'm not confident...
