Me too. He's almost always amazingly colored. The only thing is he's a little to spoiled. He almost always refuses to eat unless the bugs are sitting in my hand. It can be a problem when I feed him wild mantis which always seem to want to bite my hand. Also he begs like my dogs when I come down...
Haven't posted in forever and just wanted to share a few pics of some of my ambi's with ya guys. Got a new Canon like 5mths ago and had to finally download the 2,000+ pics off it. Sorry if the pics are pixelated I had to shrink them from 5,200 pixels to 1,080 to get them to upload in a timely...
Mine go nuts for mantids and bees as well. I'm not as brace as Steve. I catch a couple in a jar. Throw it in the freezer for a min or two and then pull them out one by one and remove the stinger with tweezers. It's tedious but thy make my chams go nuts. Must have good flavor. Also on occasion my...
My boy MJ
This is Michael Jordan#23, Mj for short. His sire is Honcho. He's the ChamCo's full orange body blue bar male. Honcho is obviously the dark orange one. pic courtesy of TheChamCo. Enjoy.
Also one more thing. The darker of the two males does not use his tongue like a regular chameleon. He got it chomped by a clutchmate as a baby but he can still shoot about 3-4 inches and ferociously chases feeders or handfeeds easily.
Unfortunately I have limited amount of cage space and have to let go of some of my older babies.
The two males in sleeping position are the for sale males. The big yellow guy with mixed bars is the sire and the super orange/yellow red barred male(who is blue barred when in resting colors) is...
So I had a clutch of 35 eggs that was incubating and had only been incubating for about four and a half months and well they began to hatch 2 days ago. I have been looking for pinheads and fruitflies everywhere and have had no luck. If anyone anywhere in Michigan preferably within and hour or...
i'm almost certain that is a female. A pic of the back heel area like everyone is saying will confirm the sex either way but i still think its highly probable its a she :-)
The babies in the clutch coming up are from lance's high red ambilobe. My two previous general photography thtreads have pictures of him. He is totally variable. I have pics of him with red, blue, and purple blue bars. Also he can either go solid orange, solid yellow, or solid red wi any of the...
They are going great. I've had my chams out, from 1 day olds to 4year olds. They are thriving. We've had a few 75/80 degree days woth light rain the past 3 days. Everyone is overhydrated now. Lol. I should have morebabiesavailable in about a month. I have 1-2 month old babies at the moment...
He has tamed somewhat
Bruiser has tamed somewhat but he still gets his mouth on my hand once every couple weeks. He is weird with females. If they are receptive he sometimes tries to kill them and if they are non-receptive he head bobs and tries to mate like crazy. He's somewhat backwards but i...
