Thanks for all the nice comments , The tapered floor was accomplished by taking a piece of 1/2" plywood and applying a 1/2" 10 degree beveled frame on top and laminating over that with formica to make a smooth transition, then finished by adding a hole in the center with a fitting for a drain...

To build a round one will require a lot of joints, if not made correctly with precision could lead to a lot of issues down the road, I used heart pine to match a existing mantle in the room and Sherman Williams golden cherry stain.

I agree with you that wood and water don't mix, I have gone to the extreme with this build to ensure this will last, First the back and floor are laminate perfectly water proof and the floor is tapered to the center to allow for drainage, The remaining wood in the interior of the cage is coated...

Thank you, The inside is 30X30x54, My Panther Ambilobe is almost six months this will be his adult cage, He is in a smaller screen cage right now, Probably transfer over in a month or two.
