is my chameleon okay? what should i do?

MBD is usually caused by a lack of uvb light [either natural sunlight or specific uvb lights specified for tropical environments] or a lack of vitamin d. They get this by their feeders and supplemental dusting of the feeders. Again i'm no expert but others on here can give you proper supplement...

is my chameleon okay? what should i do?

When you visit the vet i would guess you should bring a stool sample to check for parasites. Sadly buying chams from pet stores is a crapshoot, they usually have terrible care procedures. Reputable breeders are a better choice.

is my chameleon okay? what should i do?

I'm no expert but i think he has mdb a bone disease that's very serious. His legs look like their weird angles. There's more knowledgeable experts on here that can confirm. In any case a herp qualified vet visit would be necessary the sooner the better. Just his symptoms are very troubling and...

    Senegal gender?

Here' some pics of my freerange Senegal. Male or female? I don't often even find him but he? goes from the dense cover to ground level a lot, not sure why. He looks healthy to me, usually bright pale green with many red dots. When i see him i drop some wax worms which he eats. Comments welcome.

Yes it's more than likely a female. I can't even find her in the cage, i'll never see her again if i let her out.

Thank you so much. Been to Cham Academy site but didn't notice the Bohmes pdf. I'll look it up. My normal dusting is Repashy Calcium + with vitamins. I usually buy crickets from store, dust them and put them directly in feeder buckets with 'cricket crack' made by local store, some spinach and...

Appreciate all the advice. Currently I dust the feeders with calcium powder [without d3 mostly, with d3 once a month]. Not really sure how effective as I don't know how long it sticks to the feeders.

These cards are designed for measuring uvb for herps are there any credible sources that prove they don't work?

I could but i'll release the gecko into the greenhouse first to give him a chance. I know what you mean about stress but everytime I see any of them they have bright green colors and go right after any wax worms I put down. I think the fact that they have so much room to wander simulates their...

The thing is i have these credit type cards that have a go/nogo on uvb. When I hold them up in the shed they show no go. In the greenhouse they read acceptable uvb when the suns out. I hate to spend 300 bucks on a meter i'll use only once.

The screen cage is in the greenhouse. Right now it has a mourning gecko in it, i may release him into the greenhouse at some point. Their nocturnal and very quick so i think he should be ok. The other part is a shed/mancave/gym that i removed the outside wall after i attached the greenhouse. The...

"Is that the density of plants throughout the entire greenhouse?" Hope these pics how better. The middle to the right is heavily planted and so dense i can't see through it. The left side is dominated by the pond in a 5' x5' box.The hanging plants and vines provide paths that run the length of...
