Hello I have just purchased mealworms, crickets and hoppers I am keeping them all on a substrate of oatmeal the crickets and hoppers have cardboard tubes with a ball of wet toilet roll and are currently eating romaine lettuce and carrot. I am not sure if it is any relevance but I am keeping them...
Does gut loading ingredients differ depending on Chameleon species?
Are their ingredients that shouldn't be fed to insects for feeding to Chameleons depending on species?
I have recently posted a thread on the use of Kale and it got me thinking. Would a Panther Chameleon require thier bugs...
I've been looking through different gutloading feed stuffs and it seems Kale is the perfect ingredient to feed to your bugs. No vitamin A or D3 but it contains calcium.
So Kale, is it a superfood for gut loading as well as for us?
Our first chameleon ever! He's stunning and full of personality (we're only on day 2!) You guys are awesome! Confusing and complicated for people who have never owned anything requiring basking light, UVB, gut loading, etc.
