light meter

Today I took Lenny outside for some sun. I brought my meter with just to see what kind of UVB she would be getting. After a few minutes I noticed the sun coming in and out from behind clouds. It occurred to me this would be a good way to demonstrate how cloud cover affects the UVB our animals...

I was thinking I would love to have some kind of meter that could measure the amount of UV a light source is emitting. I looked into these a while back and they were like hundreds of dollars... and seemed to be pretty bulky pieces of equipment. This would a great tool to have... Is my light to...
