“Lizard Lounger” Good or Bad?

Ecubaker

I’m gathering materials for my cage. My Dragon Strand cage was shipped out yesterday .

I’m planning to have all live plants. Is the lizard lounger hammock thingy safe for chameleons? I was thinking it could be temporary until the pothos vines grow more. I haven’t seen one in any cage pics leading me to believe it is either toxic, or rarely used...

Advice is appreciated.

They should be safe, but they’re not really suited to a chameleon’s anatomy. Those things are made for lizards which lay close to the ground and act as a support for the belly. Chameleons need sturdier supports than these because they should be holding their underside up pretty much always - there are a lot better options imo!
