10.0 reptizoom light in GE ballast, remove plastic cover?

Should I remove the plastic cover that covers the bulb on the light fixture? Will it block the UVB? It pops off. I already removed it to put the reptizoom in but didn't put it back on yet. Should I?

Leave it off, It is a light diffuser and will block your UVB
