100 gallon exo terra mesh terrarium

hey guys!

so i want a male panther chameleon, which im most likely am gonna get, and i found a great deal on kijiji of a 100 gallon mesh exo terra flexarium. it comes with 2 fake exo terra plants and a 6 foot vine, everything for $65.00! would these dimentions be good for a sub adult panther cham... 48 inches tall, 30 inches long and 16 inches deep. my only worries are that its not very deep, are these good dimentions???

A 100 gallon is large enough for you cham. A flex terrarium not be the best choice long term, as the zippers will wear and the mesh is get holes very easy. The reason you have not had answers is most people don't want to commit to saying yes to something that may not last. It is a cheap set up and will be fine for a while but he will outgrow it.

I second that notion! I have a friend who also breeds chams and he has some of those terrariums. They are ok, but not the best quality. Most people on the forums use the LLLreptiles screen cage or the DIYcages. I personally would pay the extra 30 bucks and get the larger cage that he will grow into. I have had to buy big boy cages as my cham grew but I think it is a better plan to just put him in the larger cage when you get him. Granted he is able to find food.

The cage it's self is over $100 it's because there is a guy in my town moving up north and he needs to get rid of it fast. So will my Cham need to upgrade from this tank eventually? I'm not sure it's a flex terrarium but I think it is. So this couldn't be like his adult size tank? It's 4 feet tall by 3 feet wide by almost 2 feet deep.

The cage it's self is over $100 it's because there is a guy in my town moving up north and he needs to get rid of it fast. So will my Cham need to upgrade from this tank eventually? The mesh terrariums are good temporary Setups but you should go with a 2x2x4 from DIY or LLL for a long term cage. I use mesh to raise babies and for outdoor enclosures on nice days.

As long as you take care of it, you dont have to worry about the zipper or the mesh. I use them outside 24/7 from spring till fall. Honestly there is pros and cons to metal and pvc mesh. They both still look like crap once water gets a hold of them.

A 100 gallon will be just fine to house a panther in.
