After months of research I finally got my first panther. He's a Abanja male and is roughly 6-7 months old according to the shop I got him at. I picked him up yesterday and he's eaten 15-20 crickets and dropped his first deuce in the cage (white &brown).
My wife named him Bacon....because everyone loves bacon.
Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the setup and any general advice.
Cage: Reptibreeze XL
2 fake vines, 2 live pothos (repotted and cleaned), 2 drift woods (cleaned and baked)
Lighting: Reptisun Hood & deep dome 50W basking light (5 inches from tallest branch)
Temp: basking 80-85 middle cage 70-80
Humidity: 60%-70%
Dripper is going for 10-12 hours (water treated with reptisafe)
Spray misting- 4-6 times a day
Feeding: Crickets - dusted with Repashy supercal med (5x week)
Crickets - dusted with Repashy supervite (2x week)
***I've only had him since yesterday so he hasn't been on this diet long.
Let me any thoughts or advice. I've also been researching the boards a gutloading recipe for his food.
Here's a pic of bacon...
