Don't worry. My avatar Cham was brown till about 3.5 months. Then it was almost hard to keep up with the color changes. ( and his father is your boy's grandfather)

what i find interesting is my guy, same clutch and age, is mostly green with blue barring lol

not exactly what i wanted but he is still looking great and has a long ways to go before he fully matures into his colors.
