Abnormal Shedding?

my oustelet's Cham just started his shed today, and it's really bothering him. When he first woke up, he thrashed around on his branch to get the dead skin off, now it's hanging in big pieces still on his body. He even tried to scratch it off with his hind foot. He seems to be normal now, but I'm wondering if this is normal, because his last shed I didn't see because I was at school. Lastly, should I still feed him when he's in shed? He's never lost his appetite, not even one day, in the two months I've had him, but the dead skin hanging off might bother him right?

i try to put feeders in a cup for mine even when hes shedding, whether he eats them or he doesnt is his choice but at least they were offered. the shedding youre talking about is normal. all my chams dont mind if i pull the big pieces off of them especially the palms of their feet, yours may not like it.
