Hello! I'm new here and I've never posted before. Two months ago I adopted a female veiled chameleon, 2+ years old. The previous owner loved the animal, but was not the kind of person who researches thoroughly how to look after it, so, naturally, she developed MBD at an early age. She was treated and the progression of the disease stopped. Ever since I adopted her I've been reading basically everything about how to properly care for her and I've made serious adjustments to the setup, feeding schedule, dusting schedule and gut loading recipe that she gave me. My chameleon is now extremely happy.
So, back to the point. I found a thread in a reptile forum in my country (Bulgaria) which stated that acorn weevil larvae (Curculio glandium) are a good feeder option for the winter months. I have several good feeder options but a large pool of options is always nice. Normally, I would come here and verify the info, but I can't find anything on that particular larva. Can anyone provide its nutritional value?
Thanks in advance!
