I deeply care abkut My Rico and Ive listened to your advice many times as it was great advice, but to be aggressive in a forum is not ok man there are kids in here as well (im 32) and if you talk ti kids that way which you have in the past, its detrimental to their confidence and they will stoo wanting to learn or ask questions because of the way you reply to them.

Im not here to argue i. Here to learn and keep an ooen mind about cham care.

It’s okay. Some individuals don’t know when to stop. If your chameleon is happy and healthy there shouldn’t be a reason to change. While there is improvements that you can make...the goal in the forums is for keepers to have their chameleons happy and healthy and live a good life.

Alright I am throwing in my 2 cents. Listen to @PetNcs like you listen to a college professor in class. It come across better.

As for where they live. Not even counting @PetNcs information, Any "In the wild" pic or vids I have ever been able to find have all been between Ibb and Yarim. This just so happens to correlate exactly with what @PetNcs claims.
So you can go by where you think they might be, or go with where you have actual proof of their existence.
Do remember @PetNcs is the only one of us that has actually been on the ground seem and collected wild Yemen Chameleons.

Petr,

I don’t think anyone was trying to ridicule you here, nor were they being especially malicious. I know you care deeply about the fate of the Yemen chameleon in captivity, and I’m sure that’s part of the reason for your impassioned responses, but sometimes your passionate responses come across as very hostile.

Where I
Am
Hostile here? I do not attack anyone
Leave me yiu All in peace
Where was I iffensive here?!

@MattandRicco, I’m actually curious the sources of your information. You are very confident of the veracity of your statements.
I’m looking right now for scientific journals that place C. calyptratus outside of a small high elevation range and haven’t found any yet

I’m pretty confident that @PetNcs has direct observation of where they occur, so he should be a reliable source.

I’m all about questioning what we “know”, but you’re going to need to back it up To

I just say
They do NOT live in Aden
Aden is a hot place on the coasthey do NOT live in coastal
Ateas but High in the mountains.

So, I warn you, if yij will use data of Aden, yoj will do bad to your chameleons, because this climate is wrong.

I feel like this post was just to start crap... I feel like unless you have been there and studied the areas in which your speaking on then all your doing is sharing info from other sources that can be incorrect as well.

We see it all the time. Sources that have totally incorrect information.

I would rather get my info from someone has been there many times and studied the region in which Yemen Chameleons live.

It was not to start crap at all.
My appologies to everyone for this, sincerely.

Its ok to be wrong sometimes bruh

Its ok to be wrong sometimes.
For you to say the absolutely dont ever come from there is just not true
and finally,
ou need to relax and have constructive styff to say
I don't see your constructive stuff? I'm just seeing Petr say that he has been there and knows that they don't live there, and you just saying no and that its ok to be wrong.

If somebody learned something new there is no need to apologize.

There are people of all ages and professions on here and we do not know who is who at first. Often when we start we have no idea the level of experience the other has.
@PetNcs will always be the adamant scientist researcher. At the same time we have 12 year olds and teenagers. They use words like "Bro", "Dude", and "Chill"

If we met these people in person we would know more how to address them.
It is just a human thing. With lack of information on an individual we often apply our own traits to make them more like us.

Definitely, there should be a introduction thread where people can say who they are when they join

I've never been to Yemen before so I just now took a virtual trip via Google Earth. Aden has one flat top hill and from what I can tell, very few or no trees.
