Aden, Yemen

Definitely, there should be a introduction thread where people can say who they are when they join
What would that matter? We should be treating everyone with the same degree of common courtesy.
I have ‘gotten into it’ with @PetNcs about his perceived rudeness. I think the key word here is perceived.
Having watched many of his videos, I now automatically ‘hear’ Petr’s voice when reading his posts. It completely changes the tone. If you perceive that he has been rude to you, before posting a provocative reply, watch a couple of his videos first.
If there is another human who is as knowledgeable and invested in Yemen chameleons as Petr is, they are not putting themselves out there and trying to educate others as Petr is.

Thank you! I just had to do this and it makes a difference and I've discovered a bunch of his videos that I now want to watch. :)

I don't get your point...
I was just agreeing with @CasqueAbove that knowing who we are talking to would change a lot of things...

It's funny, because you said 1 sentence later:

So you are now saying that you are reacting to Petr in a different manner because you know who he is? It looks like you are contradicting yourself?

It was not to start crap at all.
My appologies to everyone for this, sincerely.
??????

and finally,

I don't see your constructive stuff? I'm just seeing Petr say that he has been there and knows that they don't live there, and you just saying no and that its ok to be wrong.

Why?

Well, it is the style of CF and other SM for people to use or to hide behind avatars and pseudonyms.
It is everyone’s discretion what to do.
I use my name I was hiven by mh oarents. Therefore it is easy to google who I am what are my credentials.
You find me as Petr Necas in here, in facebook, in Instagram, in Amazon, in the internet.
You can see my face, listen to my voice, my strange accent, you can look into my eyes and when you meet me, you will see I am same fat as on the videos and I have same wrinkles around my eyes.
I LOOOOVE CHAMELEONS, and I love people.
My rudenes is just misunderstanding and A perception. I assure you, when you meet me in person, you will meet a warmhearted and kind elderly and overweight gentleman with one of the biggest hearts on the planet.

I see your point and perhaps you are correct. I’m tired and trying hard not to be as verbose as I usually am. Lol.
Point I want to make is I believe in being polite to everyone. Usually we can tell when a member is younger from words they use or mention of school and parents. While I may adjust some of my replies to take their limited resources into account, I still offer them courtesy. Until someone is downright and blatantly nasty, they will still get my courtesy.
Other point is that Petr is very often misunderstood when he posts and is perceived as being rude or hostile. I saw this too and didn’t care who he was...I have little tolerance for rudeness. After a brief pm conversation with him and some thought, I gained a different perspective. I see that many members are quick to perceive he’s rude and are just as quick to counter with further rudeness. It is just the way he speaks and without hearing him speak, his bluntness is often misperceived. Just as we need to be courteous and understanding to every member, we need to put aside or understand or whatever with our preconceptions and misperceptions of Petr’s posts and continue our common courtesy.
So yes, I do see that my statements could be contradictory. But...I just want us all to be kind to each other...no matter who the other person is or how you may perceive the tone of their written words.

Of course, I totally agree with you.
