After They’ve Passed

So my Munch (veiled) died last night after two pretty horrible days of waiting and I’m heartbroken. However, keep marching on right? So what do I do now? It’s winter, so how do I bury her?

I’m at a loss completely. What do/can I with her cage and lights and plants n all? Is there a particular way to do any of this?

That sucks and I know how you feel. Sorry for your loss. Where do you live? I buried mine in flower garden in a small cedar box with a marker to identify the spot. It’s whatever you want to do from here. Sanitize the setup and purchase another or sell it all and don’t.

So sorry for your loss. There are some companies out there that will cremate and then you can choose the type of wood box for the ashes to rest in. When I worked in animal welfare, I knew a guy whose business was this and they were primarily dogs.. I would personally find a spot in my yard but I know some people live in cities. I would give it some time, then possibly give it another try. Chameleons are such amazing animals!

I feel so bad for you, I would be very discouraged if that had been me. Hopefully you get another cham in the future, it always gets better. So sorry for your loss. I have even heard of one person wanting to keep the skeleton (not sure why, but what do I know o_O) and got some flesh eating beetles. Sounds gross, but that is just another option you could take into consideration. I am no one to judge, but hopefully you get this sorted out. Again, so sorry.
