Albania with eye and mouth issues! HELP!

My friend has this chameleon, it is 100% Albania. He's been having some mouth and eye issues that have gotten worse over the past couple months. My friend travels a lot and so I think the care taker isn't helping out. He can open his eyes, but most of the time he has to hand feed him. He can eat on his own, but most of the time he cant.

your friend should probably have gone to the vet when he first noticed the issued... Which brings me to my advise: Take him to a vet.

No, that's a mouth infection. Look at the distension and deformation of the lower lip. He needs to be taken to a vet and have the infected area cleaned out. Antibiotics will be needed.

Definitely looks like an infection. Both sides as well as the eyes show signs of trauma or infection. I'm no vet, but that cham needs one! Looks like a possible injury that escalated to a bigger situation, but I'm just guessing.

I agree mouth infection, though the eye issue could be something different and unrelated, she should have had the mouth looked at a while ago, it's been there for a bit. He also looks like he desperately needs to go on a diet.

Good point, eye issue could be unrelated. I'm not sure if I can tell if he is overweight from those pics, or if there is a bigger problem there. With having to be hand fed there could very well be vitamin deficiency, but a vet should be seen for a full workup in my opinion. The caretaker likely has no idea what the signs of health issues are, and even we struggle to see them so this could be going on for quite a while.

True, the fat pads in his head could also be from swelling if he has had trauma. Either I agree he needs to see a vet.
