Am I being challenged?

So I was cleaning out the cage today and I think my cham challenged me! He was on the top while I started "sweeping" the bottom out with a paper towel. Then he started to come down and turned bright yellow and green. His body was flat as can be like I rolled him with a pin and he yo-yoed his tail just as he started making his way down.

That's kind of what mine did today while cleaning his cage, cept he started hissing at me really loud and turned bright yellow Black like tiger stripes i wanted to take a pic, but my camera wasn't anywhere to be found

Very cool! Sounds like a challenge, great to see natural behaviour! It must be happy. Mine gaped at me today when I went to return him to his cage from outside. First time so far, it was cute, he did the side flattening thing and fired up breifly.

Definitely wanted you out of his territory. the curling and uncurling of the tail means he was serious. What color shirt were you wearing?

My veiled did exactly what yours did when he saw my USB chameleon! It was so funny! It was like he was saying, "I'm the real deal, don't settle for that imposter!"

(sommoner12)- Yes he did look just like that as he climbed down.

(Brad)- I think I was wearing a normal white T or maybe a grey longsleve. Im thinking it may have been something about the paper towel or the motion I was making with it.

I guess Ill have to try again today, and if he acts up i'll have to put him in time out.

There is no need handle him unless you have to. There is no need to punish him for showing you he is the boss inside his cage.
