okay again i'm back with more questions i'm probably getting annoying but oh well.
Lately, past weekish maybe, my chameleon, Merlin has been this striped color and this kind of dark green color. I did reading but I couldn't find anything specific about why she is changing these colors.
I am also trying to handle her more often because as of right now, she backs away when my finger gets near her and she sometimes hisses and lunges. (i'm fully aware they can get stressed about being out to long etc.) I have read that it takes a lot of patience and some time.
I hand feed her mealworms every morning before I go to school. (2 in my flat palm, 1 between my fingers holding it). I mist her every morning as well, I made a dripper and it works but I dont think she knows that. About 2 days ago, I turned on the fogger to give water and it is directly on one plant and only that plant. (the fogger is temporary because they give them Upper Respiratory Issues). Sometimes when I go to mist her, she kind of gets mad and defensive, she hissed at me this morning.
We may be making a little bit of progress, because I will stick my hand in there without a mealworm just so she knows I'm there and she will climb down and look at it, search for a mealworm, then go back to her basking spot.
She started changing colors and I just wanted to know why she isn't the happy calm lime green she is when she is sleeping or when I very first got her. But, she has never really always been that bright lime green, she has always been this faded green color. I just wanted to know if there is anything I am doing wrong? Is attempting to handle her every day stressing me out? I just don't know, and thinking she is stressed, is stressing me lol.
Man, that was rlly long!
