Hi all just a quiry , I have a fogger system that I use for my pantha daily, aswell and manual misting 3/4 times aday. The fogger comes on ever 2 hours for 15 mins, this does great in the respect it keeps the humidity up but could i b foggin to much and that coursing me to have the feeding issues I have with my cham??

I've never used a fogged with my chameleons and misting 2 to 3 times a day should be ok as long as the cage dries out between each misting. Here's my blog for how I recommend keeping veileds and panthers. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-with-young-veiled-or-panther-chameleons.325/
Thank you- i did find that she was getting dehydrated with only misting 3 times a day, tbh iv struggled so much to try and do the best. I just feel there must be something I'm doing wrong :-(
she ha a prolapse last week hense the foggee so much as she got extremely dehydrated and was really poorly. she's gettin there slowly just not eating , wonderes wheather the fogger was putting her off her food. she doesn't eat much at all!!

I had the same problem with misting my cham 3 times a day. Now he gets misted every 2 hours for 16 seconds (I have a automatic mister) and it seems to be working for me.

ahh ok so it's not a fogger u have a proper mister??
would u reccomend this and it's nice to know I'm not just paranoid :)
and ur lil man doesn't get dehydrated me more??

Yes I have a mister that i read the reviews on. I love it but a lot of people don't. It is the Exo Terra Monsoon RS 400. He does not act dehydrated and his eyes are normal. Every so often his urate will have a little yellow tinge but not that often. Most of the time it is white.

You guys have to realize that it can take a while for your chams to start drinking, so it varies with each one. I personally have my mistking set at 4x a day for 2 minutes, but have seen members on here mist for as long as 5 minutes each session. You mentioned that you are now misting for 16 seconds every two hours? I really don't want to ask what your schedule was before. If it's working now and he is hydrated, then I'd stick to that. However, I would recommend at least 30 seconds to a minute because a longer session can give them a chance to clean out their eyes and/or help make it easier on the shedding process.

Okay I will remember that and change it! :)

I don't have a misting system but am thinking of getting one, I hand mist 3/4 times a day for a couple of mins a session. I do see her drinking dew drops from her leaves and sides of viv . I am aware that they don't just drink assoon as I start misting, and it takes a bit of time before they are encouraged to drink.
I was just generally asking wheather my fogger is on too much and wheather that could have an impact on her not eating???

It could be the fogger or it could not be the fogger. I'd fill out the "how to ask for help" form, so we can rule out any other potential issues.
