an Breeding Agreement

hey guys..
I am just wondering whether this is a common practice in your place.

Where i USED to live, pet owners often made an agreement of lending their pet
to others when the breeding time comes.
for example,
A has a male chameleon and B has a female chameleon.
Their chameleons are both start to mature sexually.
So they made an agreement to see if A's cham and B's cham would mate.

At the end of the day, if the mating is successful, they split the babies 50:50
or to whatever agreement they have.

Never seen this for chameleon, but see it often for dogs, cats, and other lizards.

Thanks for your input

My brother breeds dogs and his agreement has always been pick of the litter or price of the pick of the litter as well as a flat stud fee.

Since the person owning the female cham has put more money out prior (for added supplementation) and is going to take care of the babies, it would not be fair to split 50/50 in my opinion.
