so i recently got a baby boy veiled chameleon & the female that i have had since september has gotten mad about it (i think). i put them in the same area in my room, a few feet away from each other, so they could eventually get used to each other but when i go to feed her or let her out for free range she gets super dark and protective, any ideas on how i can reduce this ? i don’t know if she is mad i got another one or??

They can see each other? If so that causes stress, make it so they can't. But I have a veiled, Jackson and panther. Only my Jackson allows me to pick him up if needed. Panther let's me hand feed but not pick up. The veiled you can forget it even though she use too when younger.

she’s always allowed me to pick her up, she’s just been pissy lately although i didn’t know if that’s from her meeting to lay sometime soon. yes they can see each other, should i move them on opposite sides of the room or completely different rooms.

yes she is very gravid, although that is not a concern cause she’s got her laying bin ready! :) just wondering if i should move them away from each other

I have heard if you are wearing bright colors, or are bright colors in the room, your chameleon might get very defensive or mad. The bright colors may look like another cham , but you do have another cham in the same room. That might be it.
