Anybody ever use an automatic dripper like these?

Was looking into a way to make an automated dripper instead of the dripper I currently have that runs all day. The one I have drips about once every 4-5 seconds, all day. Always needs refilling. With an automated dripper, I could have it drip once every 1-2 seconds, for about 5 minutes each time, a few times a day. To save water and minimize refills.

Any ideas?

yeah, what i do is run a 1/4" line off of my water line and T joint a water line over each of my cages. i use a valve at the beginning and at the end of the tubes to each cage i use these adjustable drip nozzles i got at home depot. if you have just 1 cage its relatively easy to do but if you have multiple like i do then you have to open each nozzle a little more going down the line to keep pressure to the last one. it takes a lot of tinkering but you can get them all to drip regularly and at the speed you want. then of course theres the drainage aspect.

I made my drippers by using a large water bottle, an aquarium air pump, adjustable nozzles, and a timer. They work perfectly and drip for 10 minutes, 5 times a day. They need to be refilled about once a week. They also don't need to be elevated due to the pressure so you can put them out of sight. Put two barbed connectors in the lid and silcicone them well. The line from the air pump goes to the lid, building pressure in the bottle, the output line comes from the bottom of the container out the top to the enclosures. If you set them for five minutes, they will run for ten with the build up of pressure. A little complicated to build but worth it in my opinion.

I have a dosing pump that I run for a few hours in the middle of the day. You can't really run them all day, it will burn out the pump, but it can be set on a timer to run between mistings. So far, I really like this system.
