Anyone here who has Giant Green Banana Roaches ?

I've been keeping banana roaches for almost a year now. Do you need help with them? I got my starter group from Nick Barta.

I got my starter group from Nick as well, but he no longer carries the giants. I actually originally ordered them and he sent me the regulars by accident. I really wnat the giants.

I've got around 10-20 adults and I just gave someone about 10 adults. I've got quite a few of the larger sized black ones that will prob turn green soon.

I keep both sizes together in the same bin. The difference between regulars and giants isn't very serious. Both are tiny roaches. Giants are maybe 50% bigger at best. Much smaller than my Surinam roaches even.

oh ok. I keep my banana roaches with my giant canyon isos. I only breed those and silkworms. I keep laot of things, but those rae the only ones I breed. Other thing is I think I may have grain mites. So I am in the process of individually catching theses guys, washing them off gently, and quarantine in a small container until Im sure the mites are gone. Im dumping most of my babies more than likely and severely sanitizing and heating/freezing the containers. I read of a guy doing this and was able to save his colonies. Its just going to be a challenge. I just bought this powder to ut in pans under the conatainers soI never get mites again. I dont think im infested, as dont see a ton of them or in my other feeders. But just to be safe I moved akk y containners to various rooms, took out any food that may have grains and then when the food grade diamateous earth cme sin I will put each of my containers in ans with the powder.

I'm not really sure, because I don't know how many roaches are in your colony, but maybe it would be cheaper and a lot less hassle to just eradicate all the roaches, destroy all bedding and/or eggcrate, sanitize tubs, and just start over with a new culture? Again, I don't know the size of your colony, but maybe that would be the way to go. Certainly a lot less hassle.

I'd much rather save my colony than spend $40+ to start over
