Just like the title states, im interested in keeping Jasmine in my chams tank. i saw it was on the list of safe plants, and it somewhat viney, and smells good.

Is anyone else keeping this? Could I see some pictures if so? Thank you.

I just bought a jasmine plant today for the out-door free range, but I'm capable of using it in my cages at some point in the future. I've read about people on here keeping them successfully and having the cage smell fantastic! I don't know the light and water requirements for them by memory, but I'm sure they could do well in a cage, because they like indirect light (I think!)

Hopefully someone with first-hand experience will contribute something useful!

I used to use Jasmine alot in both the chameleon room and the bug room. Works as a great cover smell in the bug room.

A few months ago I wanted to use bougainvillea in one of my cages (I didn't care about the spines, chameleons are definately capable of dealing with them), but it lasted a week before it dropped leaves/flowers and had to become an outdoor plant. The lighting requirements were just not there. So I suggest that you experiment a little - as long as the plan it on all the safe lists, you know there isn't a health concern to worry about. If you have a garden, you can always move the failing plants outside to recover and live permanently if they don't do well in the cage. But see what plants can live without intense light, and can deal with a lot of water, and see how it does in the cages.
