are millipedes safe to feed?

Hi i was just wondering if millipedes are safe to feed to chameleons?

I've never purposefully fed millipedes, but my panther has eaten a few when they have crawled out from under my potted plants. Although they didn't seem to bother him, I don't think I would feed them a lot. I don't really know anything about them.

I could be wrong. But i remember something about milipedes being able to produce cyanide.

i would not do that! most of them produce poison.

they definately arent great and depending on the size and species of millipede they could do some real damage to your cham. Many species emit poisonous liquid secretions or hydrogen cyanide gas through microscopic pores along the sides of their bodies. The worst millipedes are the tropical ones though, so i wouldnt worry too much just try to avoid them

Good thing I read this. I see millipedes all the time and was tempted to feed them to Waldo and Peaches.
