are wild cought butterflies ok sry bout all the questions

Don't worry about asking questions. That's what the forums are for, everyone asks questions, but monarchs are poisonus. There are a few butterflies that you can feed chams though. Painted Ladies are one of them.

http://www.mulberryfarms.com/monarch.htm Thats a good example of an exceptable butterfly.

Good luck :)

regardless of the whole which butterflies are safe thing, the problem with any kind of wild caught butterfly is that with all of the places they have been they are bound to have at least some pesticide residue(how could you visit hundreds of gardens and not pick up pesticide residue) if you want butterfly like feeders just raise silkies and feed some of the moths or you could let a couple of hornworms go to moth stage if your cham is big enough to handle them, at least then you are assured of the wholesomeness of your feeders
