armored leaf chams-U have 1 or get one?

No, I don't think anyone here has any. Brookesia perarmata has the distinction of being the one and only chameleon species on CITES Appendix I. That means absolutely no international trade.

I used to work with Brookesia perarmata prior to them being elevated to CITES Appendix I but I no longer have them. I had reasonable luck with them as well but didn't jump on building up my group of them when I heard they were going to Appendix I. At this point, I don't think anyone is legally working with them any longer in the US and probably not in Europe either. Amazing little animals and definitely one of the most unique species.

Sheer variety of forms fascinates me. Very intreresting looking little species. I assume most of the 'armour' is for crypsis (and/or thermoregulation perhaps), though I wonder if like Moloch horridus it aids drinking aswell despite the climatic/habitat difference?
