this is not a place to debate if it's good or not;
------
per animal, please list things like type, sex, age, enclosure, ect

handling:
1 daily
2 once and a while
3 once a week
4 just to clean
5 never

attitude:
1 docile
2 friendly
3 depends on day
4 tolerant
5 grumpy pants

I started handling my free ranged male more because he was angry all the time. Now having to move him from curtain and things in his free range he is quite ok with me handling.

My female on the other hand became gravid, and i didnt like prying her out of her enclosure so i left her in there for a while, still hand fed tho. Recently she is angry all the time. Today she bit me in the face.

I kind of feel like the one I spend more time on, tolerates me around it and knows when i pick it up, Im just moving it, not hurting it. Either obviously doesnt like things in their face or me going in there area, but the one i handle more responds better.

Many chams act aggressive in their enclosures because they are territorial. Some behave very different once outside. Your female bit your face because she felt threatened for herself and her eggs. If a chameleon doesnt want to be handled dont do it. Some may not react at all to handling until one day they take a sudden turn for the worse. Even though some will tolerate handling, it is better not to handle your chameleon at all.

i cant say any single one of my chams truely like being handled. havent free ranged yet so i have yet to give any input on that but as far as enclosures are concerned. Veileds are the devil in disguise. i own 5 and all hate handling. i have 3 panther and although at juvi stage in there the hated handling they allow it now. m/f hoehnelii tolerate but dont particularly like it. jacksons tolerates me but he still doesnt particularly like it.

in general. i understand the use of being able to handle your chameleon. bringing my guys inside and outside, changing cages, breeding and just an overall feeling that hey if i need to get you out i dont have to wear gloves.

honestly though some will be ok with handling and some wont. you have to adjust to them and change your ways to them as needed.
