Australian Leaf insects

Anyone keep these guys? At this point all I know about them is what’s on the FTF care sheet.

Can you post pics of their enclosures please?

Any tips or tricks?

I used to keep these. I kept them in a screen enclosure, bare bottom, fed them lots of fresh eucalyptus, and they multiplied like crazy. They fling eggs everywhere; hard little things, you can hear them land all day long, lol. It got so out of control I started freezing the eggs to dispose of them.

I kept them as pets, not feeders, because they are incredibly cool. If you are breeding as feeders, you obviously wouldnt do eucalyptus.

Easy, hardy insects. Cool that you got some.

Adorable! And holy crap thats a big meal! They don’t look that meaty until you see Roux for size comparison! So are the spikes, spikey?

The spikes collapse when you press on them, no danger to Roux. Or at lease no more than a large hopper or mantis.
