Hi;ALL; i picked up my baby yesterday and he had a 10-minute car ride home and i put him in his home and he happily crawled in. He seems to be doing well, not frightened. His colour is great and he hasn't shown no dis-colour as yet. I misted him once last night and lights out was 8-pm.I will feed him this morning and hopefully he will eat. I am going to try a little salad and some crix; for a start. The breeder was only feeding once a day and he is only 7-weeks. So i thought i will try to feed around 10- 11-am when he's warmed up.I am hoping he will eat a little-Sorry he is a veiled cham;.He is in a 16-16-30- screened cage -for now.He was all over his home last night and checking everything out.I am going to purchase a 24-24-48-for when he's a little bigger, but i understand he is better in a smaller cage while he's small.I put a feeding dish in that i made in his house and he's already checked that out.I have a question if you don't mind. What do you all think of miner-all for dusting?? I have the miner-all, and regular repital cal for dusting but i believe the miner-all is an all in one.Any opinions on miner-all-thanks for any help-Buttons.

If you have the Sticky Tongue Farms Minerall Indoor or outdoor formula they are not an all in one. The outdoor one has NO d3 and in the Indoor has d3. Make sure if you have the indoor forumla you only use that a couple of times of a month because it contains the d3. If you have the outdoor that can be used daily. A multivitamin you will need also and use that a couple of times a month. The supplement that is the all in one and alot of people are using Is the Repashy Calcium plus. This also contains d3 and therefore I don't agree that it should be used everyday but many members use it with success. I keep my chameleons outside for most of the day so I do not provide artificial d3 because I don't believe it is necessary.

Congrats your little guy must be so cute. As small as he is, I would not try any salad, just small live feeders. Even crickets should be only an 1/16 or 1/8 inch for him. You can feed other things like very small silk worms, but too large of food can really hurt him.

Would love to see pictures of him, and have you named him yet?

Hi: No-No name as of yet, And he don't recognize worms as food just yet.I am feeding 1/4 inch crix; as that is all i can get at the reptile shop i go to. And he eats them wellI don't think i will use the miner-all. I think i will use just plain calcium and dust 2-time for the month with d-3. Much better solution lol.I think he will try the worms soon as he is interested and watching them just don't think their food.He is doing well so far pooped, drank, and eating twice a day about 15-25-crix; each feed.Hungrey boy lol. He's a veiled by the way.I have actually saw him eat, drink, and poop. His poops look good brown and white nice colour and consistsey.I have ordered some phoenix worms should be here by end of week and i think with the great movement of worms he will eat them and thus get started.Ok, i will not give him salad as his feeders are getting lots anyways. So in turn he will get them. I thought he was too young for salad just wanted to make sure. Back in a minute have to mist him now.We are on a strict misting times 9-am-12-pm.And 2-3-pm. and if needed before lights out.He loves his mistings[warm water]\ and i found out quickly that he didn't like room temp; water. Now i have a question; Can you buy any kind of worms from a bait shop ie; [fishing supplies] or is it harmful to your chameleon?? I have heard of people buying for their beadies. Thank you soo much for any and all help-only want the best for my little 'Dude'- Buttons.

Buying from a bait shop is not recommended. But I have bought wax worms at my local bait shop when I needed more variety. Sounds like you are doing great with him.

Thanks Laurie; He is my first chameleon; So i would like to do everything right for him. I spend a lot of time reading the forum, and trying to learn as much as possable, to keep him happy and healthy. He seems to be responding very nicely to me.I am not trying to handle him and i feel in the future if he wants to come to me he will.At what age will he need to go into a bigger cage?? Cage size i'm buying today is 24-24-48.?? I want to get it set up just perfect for him and very comfortable for him also.Is this size ok for him?? Sorry for all the questions but i'll learn that way.He is a very great little guy and i have named him 2-Step.Can chams; hear or do they only feel vibrations??And when i go put him into new house at approriate age will there be another adjusting period?? Thank You for any and all help-just trying to get everything perfect for him.Buttons-PS; I am dusting with calcium w/o-d-3- every feeding and i will dust with d-3 2-times for the month and use repti-vite 2-times for the month as well. Does it sound ok?? Buttons.
