Are these any different than normal bananas, aside from size?

On a side note, aren't they just so cute and tiny?

they are a different type of banana. These are Nino or lady finger bananas. The “regular“ (most common) type is cavendish bananas.

i have no idea. That was the extent of my banana knowledge. That and the cavendish bananas are not what people used to eat but they switched because a lot of people were allergic to the old kind (I think)

i have no idea. That was the extent of my banana knowledge. That and the cavendish bananas are not what people used to eat but they switched because a lot of people were allergic to the old kind (I think)

They switched to cavendish bananas because the gros michel bananas that used to be the most common were devastated by a fungal disease called panama disease.

My Filipino friend would make an egg roll type thing with those bananas i need to find me mini bananas and make some. If I remember they are super sweet unlike the normal bananas

Yes they are much sweeter than the normal bananas, though a bit harder to peel.
