baby cham cage size

Can you have too big of a cage for a baby cham? I know they recommend smaller cages so food is easier to get ahold of, but if you work at getting used to feeding from a feeding dish do you really need to setup a smaller cage or go straight to a adult size setup? The reason I ask is because I want to get a small panther but the only setups I have are 2 2x2x4' cages and a 16x30x30' one.

You could use the 2x2x4 but raise the floor of it =) and yes, finding food and large drops (they fall sometimes) are the primary concerns, I believe.

I have my baby panther in an 18x18x36 with two giant pothos in it. One is sitting on the cage floor and the other is hanging directly above it. Between the two, there aren't too many areas where my baby panther could fall without vines to catch him.

I haven't had trouble with the food situation because for whatever reason, the crickets like to climb to the top of the cage rest there and I have a little lattice-like platform at the top for them to patrol on.

I'll snap a picture real quick...
