Hello,
I have a 5 month old female panther Cham and isn't growing. I have my basking temp 89 degrees and am using a reptisun 10. She's a inch nose to vent and shed last week in one day full body. I feed only crickets about 12 a day and won't eat reptiworms out of tray. I mist three times daily. I just cant get my baby girl to grow. The male ambilobe is doing great but scared half the time. Please help thxs:mad:

bring your basking temp down to 85 and your uvb should be 5.0. Fill out the diagnostic sheet and post it so we can see in detail how your husbandry is. also dont worry they grow as long as theyre eating, at least thats how it usually goes.

There not housed together there in those zoomed cages 18" 18" 36". 85 ok I'll do that I have to bring it down a wattage because summer like temps coming are way. I use the 10.0 because of the fine mesh screen I was told the 10.0 penetrates better tho it. I'll look for the sheet now.

I do not have a female, but from what I've read it's better for them to have lower temps. Reason being.. they are more prone to lay eggs with high temps and lots of food. Someone else can give you tips on this and help you out.

There are a few members that use a 10 (the majority of them raise the bulbs off the cage and have solar meters to monitor), but most of us recommend a 5 UVB bulb. It depends on your situation. I understand your reasoning, but personally I would use the 5. The 10's are designed for desert species.

Someone can probably provide the "How To Ask For Help" link so we can get an idea of your husbandry. We can also help you with the differences between male and female care too.

wait.. she's an inch?

like.. 2.54cm? at 5 months?

can you post photos?

Hello! Welcome to CF!
Super glad to have you here!

An inch does sound surprising!

A 10.0 is can be used, but raising it 6-12" above the screen is a good idea.
Too much UVB can hurt their eyes, so if you continue to use it, be especially watchful of any eye issues, and raise it a bit. ;)

My male is 4.5 months and he chows down over 20 1/4-1/2" crix a day, plus 5 super worms, 5 silk worms and 5 phoenix worms. He still continues to look for food even after getting all of that. But he is a male and I have no knowledge on females yet.

Nope just a shed last week. She's just way to small.

Oh my she is tiny! I had two little veileds that didn't grow and eventually passed. If I had known better I would have had bloodwork preformed to see if all was going right.

You might want to post this in the health section and fill out the How To Ask For Help Form. Hopefully more experienced members can help you.
